The Cinojal Well
Between old olive groves, orchards and vegetable gardens, beside a small stream, cool, clear water springs from the hillside. To take advantage of it, the Cinojalwell was built. It is of Pre-Roman or Roman origin and was later renovated by the Moors and has long been a silent witness to the history of Ahigal.
In a magnificent natural setting, the path through the olive groves leads to the well itself, which is actually a fountain built into the hillside. It was built with slate masonry with granite reinforcement at various points such as the abutments and the arch vault which covers it. There is also an interesting legend associated with it.
